Buddhism
Meeting suffering with awareness and compassion.
In Buddhist teaching, suffering is not treated as a mistake or a personal failure.
It is something to be known clearly and met wisely.
A simple thread runs through much of the tradition:
first we recognize suffering as it is,
then we understand what feeds it,
and then we practice a path that reduces harm and increases compassion.
A Human Movement
- Recognize: There is suffering.
- Open: This suffering can be met and understood.
- Bless: May this be held with kindness.
As Loving Self-Talk
In loving self-talk, this may be as simple as:
There is despair.
This is my despair.
My despair, you are welcome here.
Different words. Same human heart.
Integrity note: This page is a reflection, not a lesson in doctrine.
It offers a gentle bridge from traditional wisdom to lived practice.
